My Girlfriend is not my Best Friend

I have had this friend for over two years now and I can say that over the years, we have grown to know ourselves so well that I can boast of her as my best friend.

Best friend?

Sleep - You Will be Amazed

It’s a new week and the hustle continues; waking up early, stepping out of the house to go find my daily bread and possibly butter too. Last week, I didn’t start my week so well… I gisted you naa, how I woke up late and went to work, and how that defined the whole day for me. I can tell you now that in so many ways it affected even my whole week – last week. How do I get to avoid that in this new week?
I am sure you know this saying: early to bed; early to rise…lol, it is a funny one because as valid as it is, it doesn’t work all the time.

My 1st Day to Work in 2017 How I Fumbled

The year may have started on the 1st of January, but officially 2017 started for me and for so many others yesterday (3rd January). You know what I mean right? The holiday is over and it is back to work for some. You know how many detest Mondays just because it cuts short all the rest and/or flexing from the weekend. How when you are just coming to terms with the weekend mood, all of a sudden, you just have to wake and go to work. You know that feeling right? Yeaaa...Lol.

My Blog's New Outlook

In the spirit of the New Year, I decided to tamper with the theme of my blog and what you see now is what I came up with. What do you think about it? Do you remember what this space used to look like in 2016? See it bellow…

2017 My Year of Living in Grace

01:01:2017
It feels more like Grace to me. We all call it New Year, but it sounds more like Grace to me. At exactly 12:00AM today, where were you? I was in Church… and the Priest wished us all a Happy New Year and just spontaneously there was an eruption of emotions… People began to shout (people like me naa…lol). Shouts of Victory; Shouts of Triumph, as if we have been in a battle with our enemy and have just been declared the winner. It was amazing. Music filled the air and there was dancing, just like David did. Some were seen going down on their knees with hands lifted to the heavens in worship, and adoration to the Most High. I can’t describe all I saw meehn because I was also in a world of my own that time.
All these for the New Year…? high expectations and new resolutions. The beauty of the whole thing is that even though we don’t know tomorrow but we are hopeful for the best. The moment of crossed over feels a lot like God’s Grace to me. Looking back, I know verily that my being here now has nothing to do with me, but the Grace and Mercies of God. So as I shouted in triumph over the enemy, I acknowledge that it is God who made it possible. His Grace will see us through to tomorrow and we will count down as the days go by.

Last day of 2016

It is the last day of the week, month, and most excitingly; it is the end of the year; the last day of 2016… Yeeeaaaah! Are you as excited as I am or is it just like any other day that disappears with sunset to bring forth another day at sunrise? Many people cannot wait to get out of 2016 as though a lot of things will change (for good or for better) the moment 2016 ends. mmm! I have been thinking how best it will be to spend this last day of 2016. I will try to decide during the course of this post.

I'm Back!

Where have I been? We all seem to blame everything that happens to us and around us on recession and a lot of times on Buhari (Nigeria’s president). I too do o. But lazy people always look for someone or something to blame, instead of finding a way not to get stuck in everything. So what happened? Where have I been? The truth is, if I begin now to tell tales of what happened or where I have been, I’ll spend the rest of the days of the year doing so… that’s not my intent.

And the Best Part of Independence Day is...

In the spirit of October 1st I rejoice. Happy new month people of God… It has been God all the way. October, November, December and 2016 is over. I have come thus far and so have you. Shouldn’t we have reasons to be thankful to God?
