Our Blog - Work in Progress

I put on my spikes and knot the lace. Then I head for the tracks, on lane 2 where it is more than luck for me – more of hard work and dedication overtime. Now down on my knees with my two hands firm on the ground and a bowed head. I close my eyes for a moment and all I see is the end and victory. Then the voice of the referee goes “set…”, then a gun shot.

Heheheee… it is not a rat race my dear. It is a race of fate, with determination, hard work, courage and perseverance. 2016 gives yet another opportunity to cover grounds and possibly retrace our steps where we have erred. Think about it and act fast.
I know… I am going all inspirational there. It’s just the mood at the moment.
Yaaay, so in my last post, I sought your suggestion on what you would like to see or not to see on our blog this 2016 and some of you dropped your thoughts [Read Here]. I am thankful for as many that did. I remain open for more… please feel free to add your comments on that post's thread or reach me via mail [egwumba01@gmail.com].
Meanwhile, from your comments on that post, I noted the following:
Harshness of Eup’s blog colour: This was mentioned by Esther and supported by Gift Adene. Really, I was as surprised as BMF on this matter as I tried to open the blog in different browsers both on system and mobile devices, using various browsers too ranging from Chrome to Explorer, even Mozila for system and UC browser, Opera mini and other android browsers including BB browser… I sort some people’s opinion too as most were indifferent about the general appearance of the blog.
However, I have decided to be a little more dynamic in 2016 as I will the change the background image of the blog every now and then as the spirit leads, using toned down colour green as Gabbysuggested; that should correct the harsh perception of the blog’s appearance. So, the colour remains Green and White.
Inspiration based posts: Sharon and Damilola advised that I write just as the inspiration comes. Interestingly, 99.99% of the post I have put up on this blog so far has been based on such inspiration. It is just that sometimes, when the inspiration comes, it meets me in very weird places where I can’t even note it and you know how it is naa… If you don’t do something about it right there and then forget it.
Anyways, I have resolved to find more ways of putting those kinds of inspiration to good use whenever and wherever it comes.
Post frequency: Gloria and BMF and many of you, I am sure just want to see more of my posts. Apart from the inspiration to do a post, the other greater challenge that I have is joining blogging to my other life engagements. (Saheed warns about this a lot…lol).
These challenges notwithstanding, I know if I can work on capturing my inspirations and putting them in good use, I will post more often hence… so, work in progress. Again, I starting from February, I will start entertaining guest post.
More interactions: My one and only blog bae Bee, wants more interaction here. Lol… I know I don’t give her room enough to put down her mind here as she always loves to.
Chincobee, I will work on making my posts more interactive, you hear?
Eup’s niche: BMF is still confused about the niche of this blog. *SmileS* In this blog’s description, it is written: “My world, experiences and opinions on anything that I feel matters”. If this is taken in very well, it will enlighten you more about what the niche of this blog really is.
…and so, the summary of the blog’s niche is “Blogging as the Spirit Leads”. Lol… hope it makes more sense now.
Finally, this is blog is a work in progress. In 2016, dynamism will be my watch word. Together, let’s run the race well. Sosongoooo! (thank you in Ibibio)

Cheers!

  6. Iove the way your highlighted the observations of the commenters and how you intend to work towards it. Change is constant, if you refused to change intentionally, the change wll change you.

    How have you been.

    1. Thanks dear... You know one thing I have come to discover about time, if we are conscious of it and disciplined about it we would realise that there is truly time for everything, its just for us to find it or make it out. Hope I made sense?
