Hello friends… I have been on a vacation of some sort for some time – about two weeks now. Those that follow me on Instagram (@egwumba01) would have noticed. I decided to spend the vacation not in Dubai or in Jamaica…lol. I decided to spend it in Eastern Nigeria. Yes, I crossed the Niger bridge. Yes, I went back home and to some other places - Awka, Owerri, Oguta, Onitsha, Orlu. Heheheeee...

It's been a while since my last post, and I am wondering why? Sometimes it feels like I am already giving up on blogging or maybe I am giving up on myself, depending on the way you look at it shaaa. Hmmm… I refuse to do this to myself right now (shake the anxiety off).
Yaaaaay! A lot has happened and is happening with me. There is a lot I would like to blog about, but I’ll be brief on this one.

Since the 1st of March, the Lenten season began. In Christendom, Lenten season is that period of 40 days where Christians are encouraged to observe sober reflection and adopt positive lifestyles in preparation for Easter, which marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This period of 40 days helps us purge ourselves by taking up lifestyles that should/would make us better persons in every ramification.
The church (don’t ask me which church o) teaches us that the cardinal pillars during the Lenten period is Fasting, Prayer and Almsgiving. Thinking about this lately and discovered that it could have been anything, but anything has been summarised in to these 3 basic christian works. I would love to call them “Works of Faith”.

I am a day older today. I remember this day; last year… it feels just like yesterday. I spent the day with this set of people (colleagues and Friends); they made my birthday very memorable for me. I remember how they came together and prayed for me, ate my cake and drinks, sang together and snapped some pictures together. That was 2016.

I have had this friend for over two years now and I can say that over the years, we have grown to know ourselves so well that I can boast of her as my best friend.

It’s a new week and the hustle continues; waking up early, stepping out of the house to go find my daily bread and possibly butter too. Last week, I didn’t start my week so well… I gisted you naa, how I woke up late and went to work, and how that defined the whole day for me. I can tell you now that in so many ways it affected even my whole week – last week. How do I get to avoid that in this new week?
