Where is My Own Birthday Cake?

It’s about 10:30pm here in Lagos and I am just booting my Lapi for the 1st time today. My day was hectic, just like it was for the greater part of the week, I can only say thank God for weekends. As I usually do, I go through my favourite blogs from notifications I receive for the day and I get excited tonight; Bolatito Fashina Apatira, popularly know as BMF is a year older today...

Bolatito Fashina Apatira poses with her birthday cake... See shakara o! lol.
I hate the fact that I am just realising this because I love to look forward to birthday’s cakes. Anyways I have missed BMF’s birthday cake already. I would have reached out to her to ask for my portion of her cake, but I have this strong feeling that she would put me on a long thing, and I am not ready for that. Lol! Hope the cake is as sweet as I am imagining.
The week has been birthday-ful as other weeks shaa, just that I have some one or two persons I respect celebrate this week. The first is eldest brother. It was his birthday on Tuesday and I must confess, I ate one of the best birthday cakes I have ever had. It’s a cake with a lot of strawberry around it. I don’t know if the maker put those berries of decoration or for munching. Even before I took a selfie with the cake, some of the berries were already missing - it wasn’t me. *Tongue out* The taste was so good, I must add.
This Cake... Ooo this cake!
Today my mentor and chaplain back then in school is also a day older - Rev. Fr. Anthony P.C. Njoku. I called to hear his voice and wish him a happy birthday and it brought back good memories of my University days. That man is really one of a kind, Duru can confirm this.
Fr. A.P.C. Njoku and I on one of those birthday's back in school
Tosin Oriyomi, a very good friend of mine, also celebrated within the week. She said I have forgotten her, but I know what she means. Don't ask me...lol.
To all ya celebrating this week and the rest of the month, I wish ya’ll many happy returns, long life and prosperity. Hip… hip…… hip……… Hurray!
Now, where is my own birthday cake?
Cheers!

  6. Hahahaha...
I love the cake you took a selfie with! I can almost taste it even though I stay away from strawberries *the ones in Nigeria are usually sour* but I'm sure the cake must have tasted very good. Did you get a cake from your mentor? I'm sure you will if you haven't gotten already so don't worry, your cake is on the way...
